When CrossFit is initially viewed, whether on social media or You tube it can be viewed as a daunting fitness regime, however as the quote above states, it can be scaled right back to basic functional movement that everyone is able to do. We draw a lot of our programming from CrossFit Linchpin and alter it by degrees so it suits our regular classes and our older generation classes.

Taking the hang squat clean taught as an every minute on the minute style workout and then scaling it back to it’s basics it boils down to a number of squats (unweighted or weighted if appropriate) The Olympic lift of the regular and the squat of the OG class are still very closely related, just tuned to the relevance of the demographic.
