The benefits of the squat are multiple, as a movement to aid daily living, being able to sit down and stand up unassisted is a necessity for everyone.

The squat is the foundational movement of CrossFit and again it is hugely scalable, being reduced to body weight to a box or as we see here the low bar back squat with load.

The squat is useful not just for our seniors to maintain independence but also to any athletic pursuit where leg, hip and core strength are an advantage.
