Our CrossFit workouts are infinitely scalable yet can still retain the functional foundations of the programme.

The much discussed burpee (loathed and loved in equal measure in our community) serves the purpose of getting onto and off of the floor, arguably a necessity for all regardless of age.

How do we scale a burpee?

The simplest solution to this is by performing it to a low bench, including a press-up onto the bench and then the feet, legs and hips involvement to our standing position. This creates a non impactive movement and allows us to scale height of the bench until horizontal.
